Very happy with our wedding cake. The cake was delicious and looked beautiful, with alot of attention to detail. Our cake tasting helped us select the best flavor to fit our wedding, and there were many great options to choose from!

We did a mix of a traditional cake (carrot cake) and cup cakes (red velvet) and I haven't stopped hearing from guests how it was the best wedding cake they've had. It wasn't dry, the frosting wasn't too hard...it was all just perfect. Kara is very detail oriented, which we loved, because we are the same way and she takes a great deal of care to ensure that her cakes look and taste like homemade rather than mass produced. Even her fondant is unlike any we had taste before and wasn't your run of the mill stuff that gets hard and ruins the cake once you are ready to eat it after it sits out for a few hours. Her prices were reasonable, her professionalism was unmatched and we recommend her with our whole hearts.

The cake was amazing. The design was perfect and Kara did an amazing job making the cake of my dreams. It is so beautiful in pictures and I got so many wonderful compliments on the cake. The frosting was so creamy and delicious. I loved working with Kara she was so understanding as I was across the country and she was so responsive.

Kara from Black Bunny Bakery created the most amazing wedding cake for our special day. It was both beautiful and delicious. Kara was especially attentive to the style, color and details of our wedding, and the end result was a wedding cake that matched perfectly! Kara contacted the venue to arrange drop off, leaving me with one less thing to worry about! Kara provided suggestions and made me feel confident about the decisions we made. We had a lemon flavored cake with raspberry and white chocolate filling which was perfect for our spring wedding. I have severe food allergies and Kara was so helpful and responsive to all my needs. The top layer was all edible for me! And it was sooooo delicious!I didn't share any of the top layer with anyone! The guests were all complimenting how beautiful and tasty the cake was. Kara has so many flavors to choose from it was hard to decide.Thank you Kara, I hope to use her services again for my nephews birthday party.

We were married in the Caribbean in the spring with a planned post wedding reception in the form of a catered clambake for friends and family in York Beach in August. Having no experience looking for a wedding cake vendor, I went online and found Kara and the Black Bunny Bakery. The website is what initially sold us. The array of cakes, their design and descriptions were mouth watering. Our initial visit with Kara was much more than just professional. Her inspiring creative mind along with the detail taken to design our cake and the time spent to meet our needs was to say the least, impresive. We had a beach themed porcelain wedding cake topper. Kara took that and designed a wedding cake that was to die for. It was then that we knew we had found a gem and there was no need to go elsewhere in our search. Our guests raved about not only the beautiful design, detail and look of the cake (it was too perfect to cut) but the amazing flavor and freshness of it. I would highly recommend working with Kara and would never go anywhere else.

Kara was wonderful! Our cake was so beautiful I almost cried. We discussed getting a small three-tier cake with a tree climbing all three tiers. She created the most beautiful design, I couldn't have imagined it any better. The cake tasted great too!Her cakes are on the affordable side, for New England. At $3.50 per serving, we couldn't find anyone else who came close to the level of quality and service that Kara provided. We had tons of questions, and made changes after the fact, but Kara handled it all efficiently and professionally.

I can't say enough good things about Kara and Black Bunny Bakery. From my first impression at the tasting, I was blown away by the level of professionalism and how much Kara listened to what we were looking for in a cake. The wedding flower was a gerbera daisy and we had a fun and beautiful 3 tiered cake (chocolate with coconute filling and vanilla with raspberry filling)with the gerbs and periwinkle polka dots. We also had 2 surprise cakes... a groom's cake shaped like a Corvette (spice cake with orange cream) and a birthday hat shaped cake (classic white with white frosting) for my nephew. We are true cake eaters and were impressed on every level! Kara did EXACTLY what I asked for, and everyone at the wedding and people who saw photos afterward commented on how the cake was so totally "me". Incidentally, we had scheduled several other tastings and I cancelled them all after talking with Kara on the phone for the first time....and am so glad that I did! Great first impression that lasted through the experience!Super delicious, outstandingly fresh, a fun and beautiful design in our wedding colors! My expecations were exceeded. Kara delivered them for us and set them all up in the perfect spot. I can't say enough about our experience with Kara and Black Bunny Bakery! We'll be back for birthday cakes from now on Kara!
