Dave, Joe and James Dionne DJs

DJ Dave Dionne was FaNtAsTiC! We had SUCH a wonderful time at the wedding and the music and MC'ing that he did was so much fun. If we had to do it all over again we'd be on the phone to Dave in a heartbeat!

We didn’t want to use a DJ at our wedding, as we have heard so many awful ones at other weddings. But Joe, proved to us that a DJ can be AWESOME. I had a pretty large list of songs I wanted played and a specific mood I wanted to set- Joe executed everything flawlessly… even better than I dreamed of. We had so many people say to us, “Wow, this is the best DJ I have heard at a wedding!” My mom (who has heard those other awful DJ’s) was nervous- at the end of the night she said, “I wish he was at every wedding I go to! He was professional and so wonderful!” And Dave has the patience of a saint. I must have sent out a million e-mails and he was always quick to respond and had an answer for everything. I appreciate all of the time he spent working with me! I was nervous that we never got to meet them beforehand, but all of the correspondence put me at ease. If I had to do it all over again I would do it in a heartbeat! (And if we could have afforded it I would have had him stay longer!)

Dave was great. Undoubtedly the best DJ for a wedding in Maine.

I got married in Jamaica at Sunset Beach resort and I hired Dave last minute through my photographer - as they were travelling together to work at another wedding after mine, so he was already bringing his DJ equipment to Jamaica. Initially, I was supposed to have the resort's DJ work at my wedding reception - a bonfire on the beach for 3 hours - but Dave offered to DJ my wedding and his price was similar to that of the resort. It all happened last minute and I was very happy and impressed with his service. Dave was extremely quick to reply to emails. I gave him a list of song requests, but asked that he mix it up with current popular music and I felt he did an excellent job!!! He spoke French and English which was perfect since my husband's family is French. I don't have much to compare to nor was I sure what my expectations should be for a DJ, but I can say that I attended another wedding a couple of days later at the same resort - and therefore was able to compare with the resort DJ. I found the quality of Dave's service was far superior and it made me really appreciate that I made the last minute decision to go with him. Another example of how great (and accommodating) he was, was that we had not planned for a parent-child dance, but my husband's mother wanted one. I had no songs in mind, but Dave came up with a perfect one virtually on the spot! He really made everything go very smoothly and I definitely recommend him!!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dave Dionne for anyone's DJ. What a blast he was & what an amazing job he did. Everything at our reception ran so smoothly, and he had everyone out on the floor the entire night. He was extremely professional, but also made you feel completely comfortable to walk up and talk to him. Great guy, great service, great experience. Thank you for making our reception one that so many have said, "I have NEVER had SO MUCH fun at a wedding in my life!!!!"

Dave was awesome--he did our ceremony outside and then DJ'd inside for the reception. If you gave him a schedule, he followed it, if he had any questions during the reception, he asked. He kept the crowd going. in a nutshell--Dave is awesome!!!!

I would certainly recommend Dave Dionne to be your DJ, especially if you want everyone dancing! Dave was such a pleasure to work with from the very beginning stages. He was very responsive any time that I emailed him he responded quickly. He also was very thorough when my husband and I met with him to talk about our day. He arrived to our location prior to the time we had even expected him! He was very accommodating as well, we needed a separate system for our ceremony and he brought that and our Reverend needed a special musical sound bit for the ceremony and he helped her to add this into her service. As far as the reception he did a great job as an emcee (he has a great voice for it!) and he had everyone dancing the entire night! And I mean everyone! Thank you so much Dave for helping to make our wedding a blast!

For our small guest list, the DJ services with Dave were just average. Dave tried his best to get people on the dancefloor (seeing as it wasn't really a "dancing sort of crowd") but didn't play any of the songs on our requested playlist. (Other than the main songs- 1st, last dance, father/daughter, etc.) Most of those songs on our list had special meanings for us and some of our guests, were disappointed when we didn't hear them. :( Also, I felt that the communication between us and him was a bit lacking ...which was very stressful, especially when he was trying to figure out introductions literally as we were lining up. As the bride, I do not feel that I need to make sure he says someone's name correctly ...on the day of my wedding, (I had enough to be worried about - like not falling on my face during the 1st dance. haha) All in all, he did his job, but nothing extraordinary...it was kind of a disappointment because his website and other reviews are so great! :(

My husband and I would like to recommend Dave Dionne. My brother-in-law and my sister-in-law both were recently married and all three of us chose Dionne DJs. At all three weddings Dave and Joe were professional, on time, and easy to work with! Dave did a fantastic job at our wedding. He played just the right amount of variety. We know that our guests had a great time! We are so happy that we chose Dave as our DJ and we would recommend him to anyone!

All 150 of our guests LOVED our reception and were up dancing at one time or another! Dave's music selections were perfect for our diverse group (ages 3 to 73!) and everything flowed beautifully. He provided the perfect soundtrack for our party, from the lively cocktail hour, through the elegant dinner, to the joyful dance party! He also for worked to find the acoustic version of the song we wanted for out first dance. It was exactly as we envisioned!

Dave Dionne did a wonderful job providing entertainmment for our reception. We gave him a list of songs we wanted to hear during cocktail hour, dinner, and then for dancing and he catered to our every wish. He's a very considerate DJ that is not "showy" and keeps the focus on what's important - the bride and groom. I gave him 4 stars for flexibility because our reception was still going strong at 12 midnight and we wanted him to play longer but he would not. The midnight cut-off was not mentioned in our contract, but I also assumed that he would play as long as we wanted if the party was still going. More communication early on would have prevented this. The reception was a blast, nonetheless.

I can't say enough good things about Dave Dionne. We loved having him as our DJ. I first met with Dave at his home and he was extremely professional, as well as making me feel very comfortable about his services and style. He has the perfect "dj voice" and is a pro when it comes to the flow of a reception. He totally took care of everything. He also has some great ideas about games/things to do throughout the night...things that aren't cheesy, but fun. We gave Dave a list of songs that we liked and he stuck to the majority of those for the evening...we had no issues at all with the playlist or flow of the evening and dances. The dance floor was totally packed!! Dave was great about responding by email, calling, etc. His contract was easy to follow and very upfront. He is great about getting all of the information he needs upfront. I would highly recommend Dave or Joe (I had some friends who hired Joe and they were extremely happy as well) for any wedding or family function. They are great Maine DJ's!! Dave also works very closely and well with Kim Chapman (photography).

I worked with Joe doe my wedding. He was amazing. Met with me beforehand to work things out, listened well, followed all of my wishes, and kept everyone dancing. He was fun without being too silly or goofy. It was perfect.

I worked with both Dave and Joe but Joe actually was there for the wedding. He was wonderful! Played all of our requests, even the ones that were a bit strange. He also did a wonderful job announcing everyone in and keeping everyone on the dance floor :-)
