The owner of Eco Elegance is very nice and helpful. She was very willing to keep her eyes open for specific items for me, and was very fair. I would definitely recommend EcoElegance to other brides!

April Randolph has a lovely shop, and my daughter's gorgeous dress was in pristine condition, but I had doubts that my daughter's dress would sell in the allotted 120 days of consignment. I thought, what are the chances that a bride who will love this dress will walk in the door in Portland, Maine and buy it within 4 months? I walked out of the store at noon, and at 2 p.m. that same day a future bride walked into the store and fell in love with the dress! She took it home at the end of her appointment. A happy ending for everyone! April was as nice as can be, and she is right on in her assessment of how much waste there typically is in the wedding industry. April has a brilliant concept and is a pleasure to do business with.

I enjoyed my experience with April and Eco-Elegance so much that I have reccomended her to many of my friends and family. I think the service she is providing is wonderful and her enthusiasm and professionalism were top notch. The gowns she carries are beautiful and modern, so unlike other consignment shops you won't find a selection of 1980's gowns that you wouldn't dream of wearing. My high expectations were met!

April Randolph is the owner of Eco-Elegance at 157 Middle Street in Portland. I had spent weeks and weeks going to approximately 30+ stores from Damariscotta, Me, to Newington, NH, before I found April and her store. She had a great stock of new and gently used dresses and accesories that were PERFECT for what I needed for my wedding. She was very helpful and enthusiastic with my needs, and she made my dress ordeal so much easier. I bought my dress from her, and she recommended a seamstress who made the dress fit great and who was able to make a matching lace bolero jacket to match it. I also was able to recoup a good amount of the purchase price of the dress when I brought it back to April after my wedding for her to resell it for me on consignment. The whole process was pleasant and smooth, and she is a very upbeat person who is great about keeping in touch with her customers throughout the entire process.

April is very professional and an extremely friendly person. She was very easy to do dealings with. My rating on the "value for cost" question, is no ill reflextion on her professionalism or her shop. I just feel certain circumstances should be treated differently. For instance, my gown I brought in, still had the original price tag on it, it had never been worn, along w/ the accessories I brought in as well. The gown alone cost $549, not to mention the bra, and pedicoat sold as well. I understand they have to make their money some place, and I am certainly not overly experienced in what alot of other consignment places charge, but, with the total of 3 items I sold, I got a check for $205. Quite a significant difference I feel. So, that is my personal opinion on that. Yes, it is $205 I didn't have before. I just feel the percentage you get out of it is a bit low to my liking. I would still reccommend her consignment shop to anyone, and I had a good experience otherwise. Truly, Yvonne Brady
