York Harbor Inn

Casey, Patty, Greg, and Paul are a fantastic team. They will go above and beyond to make your special day as memorable as possible. I am still amazed at how perfect our wedding day was!

I cannot recommend the YHI enough. My guests fell in love with the Inn (and so did my hubby and I - no one wanted to leave). The food is amazing - everyone told me it was the best "wedding" food they ever had - some went a step further, calling it the best food they've ever had. The staff was so friendly and efficient. My husband and I had a pretty "funky" wedding, and they were so accommodating - helping us hang bright paper lanterns, setting up our vintage "props", and organizing our candy buffet. Casey Syvertsen deserves "mad props" for all of her hard work in the weeks before and the day of the wedding - it all went off without a single hiccup!

York Harbor Inn did a fabulous job with my wedding in July 2011. Casey took care of everything on the big day and the front desk staff was very accommodating to my family and guests who checked in. The property is beautiful and the Mason Reserve overlooking the ocean is the perfect setting for a ceremony. I can't wait to go back for my one year anniversary!

Our wedding coordinator was excellent. She made the the whole planning process easy. The Inn is at an absolutely beautiful location. Great spot for a all in one location wedding desination. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

The staff of the York Harbor Inn made us feel welcome and helped us plan and execute the most amazing wedding reception imaginable!! Be sure to check out the Ship Cellar Pub in the ground floor of the Inn!! We ate in the pub and Inn throughout our stay and every bite was delectable!! Be cautious if you plan a beach wedding at the York Harbor Beach, the parking lot next to the beach is permit only... and we all got parking tickets... but the York Police Dept dismissed them after we appealed!!!Great area, great inn, looking forward to spending many summers in York Harbor in the future!

Overall, I would say that York Harbor Inn is a beautiful place to get married. Everything went beautifully until the very end. We decided to get married in the dining room part of the Inn because it was much more beautiful than the ball room. I was very very dissatisfied with the way the day ended. We had the room until 4pm but the staff started breaking down the room around 3:30pm. While my guests were still dancing, the Inn staff were transporting glass windows across the dance floor to fit back into place along the side walls. If they were dropped or if someone bumped into one of the staff, there could have been an accident. At 4pm promptly, I was told that I (the groom) had to help clear out the center pieces. My wife asked if someone could take her bouquet to our room but was told no, the staff was too busy to help and that she should get "some guy Chris to assist her" This guy Chris is her brother and a member of the wedding party. The only reason he was forced to help was because no one from York Harbor Inn was willing to assist the bride with anything. I was incredibly disappointed about this. We paid extra money for this room and while I understand that they need to get dinner service ready, they ought to close the room an hour earlier to allow room rather than interrupt the wedding reception. By the way, no apologies given at all.

We felt that, in general, the coordinator did her best to answer our questions when she could, and she wanted us to have a pleasant experience. Overall, the day of our wedding went smoothly, and we loved being able to get married in the beautiful Hartley Mason Reserve. We were a bit disappointed in the food on the day of the wedding, which seemed somewhat overcooked compared to what we experienced in the restaurant during a regular meal. During the planning phase, we had to wait quite a while for the full wine list, since we wanted a more extensive selection than was originally provided. We were also disappointed in the rigidity of the package - we wanted to replace the house champagne with another sparkling wine and were going to be charged full price for the change, despite the fact that the cost of the house champagne was part of the package price. So, while we were, for the most part, pleased with our experience, there were a few details that we wished could have turned out differently.

I don't have a single complaint or criticism for the York Harbor Inn or any of their event staff! Michelle, Paul and Lois all went above and beyond to make our day perfect and didn't miss any last detail!

A beautiful location for your outdoor ceremony. Staff is just wonderful, and the food we thought was excellent. Only drawbacks were limited indoor options in case of rain, and the smaller reception space can be cramped and a little dark. Overall however, this continues to be one of our favorite places on earth.

I had the most incredible reception at the York Harbor Inn! My guests could not stop talking about how great the food was and how attentive the staff were! We had a served dinner of filet mignon and seafood florentine for our 140 guest and it was fantastic! The planning process with Christa and the rest of the events staff was a dream! They were patient, flexible, enthusiastic, and just a joy to work with! I loved them!

This place was beautiful and had a beautiful view. Worked very nicely for pictures just not alot of parking.

You can not get married at a better location in York Harbor Inn for the cost and the view. Absolutely spectacular rooms and service. If your expecting to see the ocean for your reception party, don't bother booking here because their dining room is in the back. But, besides that, my wedding was absolutely wonderful. I recommend the LLBean Suite for the night after the wedding!
