For over 100 years the York Harbor Inn has welcomed friends, families, and travelers into its warm, simply elegant, authentic country inn atmosphere. In 1871, the Inn, known then as the Hillcroft Inn, operated a handful of guestrooms, a dining room and a tavern. The popular “Ship Cellar Pub” then known as the “the Cellar” was equipped with horse stables which were later converted into cocktail seating and a hitching post just outside the Cellar door.
The Inn changed ownership in the forties, and was operated by the Colligan family until the late 70’s. For the past thirty years the Dominguez family has owned and operated this landmark Inn, continually expanding and refurbishing it making it the charming and romantic getaway spot that it is today. Currently, the Inn offers 54 individually decorated guestrooms, two restaurants, and over 3000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
The York Harbor Inn family and staff invite you and your guests to enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay at our home away from home. We welcome you with smiles and open arms to share in the beautiful views and atmosphere that is York Harbor, Maine.
Our favorite time of year is wedding season. We love seeing families come together in celebration which truly is an amazing experience. Each wedding is unique in itself- from the feelings of love and bonding as families come together to oceanside ceremonies complete with perfectly decorated tables and reception space all with the distinctive touches of the Bride and Groom. The magic of Southern Maine and our beautiful coastline ocean views make a wonderful backdrop for these very special memories. We take pride in our attention to detail and strive for perfection. For the past 28 years, our outstanding executive chef- Gerald Bonsey, CEC, AAC, has continued to provide outstanding culinary experiences for all of our guests. Come experience for yourself all that the York Harbor Inn and the Southern Coast of Maine have to offer all year long!
